Weather wordage...

From Turkey Towers to Tail End Charlies; this begins a series of posts on the language around weather...who knew there were  so many descriptors for weather? We will share them over time with descriptions and how they might apply to Kaslo and Area D weather and weather characteristics (some, perhaps,  tongue in cheek, but you will get the idea)...If you have a "weather word" that you are curious about, please be in touch and we will happily  investigate...

ACCLIMATION: "The process by which an organism adapts to climate changes in the environment"....Example :  - "The Redleaf lettuce grown in Meadow Creek,  once acclimatized to the warmer temperatures, grew to an average of 10 pounds a head, and fed a family of 6 for days, however, the Iceburg variety did not fare so well ".
